When I started chatting with people online somewhere between 1998 and 2007 I was both volunteering at a big Christian ministry where anywhere multiple ministries had ads online Chat requests funneled to their ministry and us volunteers chatted with those people. I did that for a long time before FB was a thing and a while after.  When I went off on my own, the odd named sites I liked to go into had a chat room area where you could just chat with anyone and had to catch your chat 1:1 or 1:2 as it rolled by so yiu could reply. I liked that. Some were really fast blowing by you cuz of how many were in General Chat. I like General chat bcuz the world isnt actively looking into religion and those chats get silo'd to the religion or Christian chat room as if to push us to be in there. Someone I know has Cancer Q: I would like advice on how to reach someone for Christ. Our church congregation is blessing a local family this Christmas, and I’m the “point person”. I am the contact person for the family. The family was chosen because the mom is battling stage 4 cancer. Words like terminal have not been used, but what she has is inoperable. I’m in daily contact with the lady, and I have found small moments to share my faith & give God the glory, but I feel a tugging on my heart to go further. The husband has said they are not church-going folks, and I do believe that the mom at least “knows of God”, but I haven’t asked about their relationship with Jesus. I know about evangelism, and participated lightly in a ministry in college, but I stumble over words and don’t want to be insensitive to this persons situation.
