Q: At what point do you shake your sandals off and keep walking? I had a friend come to me and want to learn about God almost a year ago. She was on fire, listening to tons of podcasts, reading the bible with me, meeting on a monthly call to ask me questions.  Once she started reading the Bible with me, she started with the Old Testamant and had qualms with "God's ego/jealousy," so we switched to the gospels.  She has read 3/4 of the gospels and completly lost steam over the summer - too "busy" to read the Bible. She also complains about Chrsitianity/politics. She has been healing her depression/anxiety with thearpy and SSRI's and when I said God is helping her improve, she said "But what if it's actually just me and the things I'm doing?". She still gets on our montly calls (hardly wants to talk about God anymore), and I've felt that I should keep doing them until SHE decides not to... but I'm exhausted. It's really hard to con...

Q: I recently moved back in with my family after being away for over a year. My family are not necessarily believers. The past few years I've been putting a lot of effort into studying the Word and following Jesus.  Being here for a few weeks now, I noticed how estranged everyone feels. I've been going and on this journey with Christ without them. And Ive managed to find so much and [I'm bursting] wanting to share it with them... but you know how non-believers or anybody who isn't saved doesn't like when ppl use the Bible to help them. It feels like the more I live in truth (and don't let their passive aggressive moods or whatever personal problems bring me down), the more it'll have a reverse effect and actually cause them to persecute me. Indoors and Outdoors, in convos  When you cant get away.   Hecklers or loud people often draw a crowd in open-air evangelism, and that can be turned for good. But not every setting is the same. In more personal or constrained contexts (pharmacy line, a booth, indoors, coffee shop, workplace, etc), you don’t always want to let it run long. You may need to end the conversation gracefully — while keeping your witness intact before bystanders. Here’s a structured suggestions, geared toward hecklers / loud / negative people (whether unbelievers or false converts). 🔹 Principles to Guide You 1. Redeem It When You Can – If a heckler draws a crowd in a setting where you’re preaching, use it to pivot back to the gospel. 2. Stay Calm, Don’t Match Tone – Proverbs 15:1: “A soft answer turns away wrath.” 3. Discern the Setting – Outdoors? Use it. Indoors/line/workplace? Limit it. 4. Helps for Ending or transitioning convos, when you cant walk away.  This covers two situations, the first is Gospel related the latter has a more focused guidance on ending convos with argumentative pushy folk where secondary disagreements can harm Christian witness in public areas. Tips for ending or navigating convos if you encounter a professing believer, with odd/false beliefs, who is unreasonable/ argumentative, [ example ] or even one preventing you from witnessing due to chattering.  In all things you want to focus on the Gospel while out. You could say something short to end it and give email, noting you'd love to chat more later.  Keeping your outing and convos Gospel focused.... For I resolved/determined to know/focus on nothing while I was with you - except Jesus Christ and him crucified . (1 Corinthians 2:2) Plus be aware to keep it cool & kind for those lost who are hearing nearby and watching. Otherwise it could give bad witness and folk will have the "So many divisions/ denominations" argument or mindset and a further negative taste towards believers. Encountering   professing believers....  Did I handle this well, what should I know and how to better handle such interactions in the future?  Guy and his wife saw me at elevator, walked over, approached me and he said something like "sister" saying he discerned me to be a believer. [It wasnt till after the whole convo and i left, went into the elevator & was gone, that I realized he approached me cuz i had a long dress on. Like penticostal women might wear. They dont  own  the modest look, but they overdo by looking scruffy frumpy like. My hair was up so he wouldn't know it was long, but again  not  an indicator of a penticostal. It's normal women look, for non weirdo liberals.].
