Overcoming Fear (convos/evangelism)

I Felt the Nudge… and Stayed Silent 🙁 Q: How do you overcome the fear of approaching people to talk about the Lord or pray for them? Yesterday I had a small encounter at a McDonald’s play place that’s been sitting heavy on my heart. I was there alone with my daughter when a woman came in with her grandson. She was visibly struggling to walk and stand upright, & during our small talk she mentioned that she was bringing him "one last time" before having an extensive spinal surgery. I could feel the Lord nudging me so clearly to ask if I could pray with her, and I didn’t do it. The strange thing is, she was incredibly kind and approachable. There was no reason to be afraid, but I froze anyway. Ever since, I’ve been thinking about it and wondering why fear can feel louder than obedience in moments like that. How did you get to the point of boldness in your faith in public spaces? Have you ever ignored a prompting and regretted it? I’d genuinely love advice and experiences b...

Agnostic lgbt interaction

While being interviewed, a college guy who "was raised in church, but left", discussed Faith. He had a religious background that was from a church-going Christian family. He's currently agnostic but "figuring it out" right now.  He had stayed away from church [and such convos with his parents] "for a lot of reasons", [note: he is visually presenting as one with an identity crisis, in lgbt]. He noted part of his reason was "less about a concern with sinning, and more just about not wanting to disappoint family and friends". But that doesnt mesh, as he could talk to his family and pastor about his struggles, sins, thoughts and get guidance. His unconcerned for sin is why he left. He wasnt saved, and loved his sins. He went on to say "after he left the church he realized he didnt care about his sins/sinning" and then tried to justify it by claiming thr Bible says "having doubts are good". He then disingenuously tied that to ...

Parenting & the Gospel

Parenting & the Gospel Q: I feel inadequate as a mom sometimes. I don't know if im adequately teaching my children at times. My daughter embraced Jesus last night, But her brother.... l couldn't explain it well enough? We teach, do devotions, go to church and he knows about Jesus. He has raised his hand in a church service, but didn't go forward. I didn't mention it, but he did last night, he spoke of how he believed that we all sin, that Jesus died for our sins, that we have to ask for forgiveness', the part he cannot grasp is, " asking Jesus into your heart". Somehow now He couldn't understand that he's been bad, or done wrong so he questioned the sin part...this, after a year where he "understood" through various studying the bible and Sunday school.  I feel inadequate. Feeling ive failed somewhere. (he is slightly on the spectrum, but this is the first thing he seems to not grasp).  We want our children to learn and come to the k...

Jordan Peterson & Husband OT NT issues

Q: I'm feeling sad today. My husband is not the kind who DOESN'T think about God or is hostile. Rather, he has developed a "theology" around Jordan Peterson (if you know of his message) that supports the Bible as metaphorically true, but not necessarily literally true. He wants to talk about it frequently and wants to start a podcast at some point in the future, dialoguing with others who have deconverted or who have faith struggles, etc. I have asked him not to talk with me about it, because it makes me so upset and start to question my own faith, honestly.   I'm feeling depressed and grumpy. I worry about how this "podcast" will impact my marriage and his faith, even further. I am also sad because, in some ways I thought we were moving closer together on some areas of thinking, but this reaffirms that we're saying two very different things. So, grief has come up all over again. Comment: I'm in a very similar situation as you. My husband ...

How to better handle situations when you run into looney liberals

How to handle situations when you run into looney liberals, as 2025 has shown these folk are unhinged, hateful and can snap in a second. So try to find ways to get them talking, to redirect and still get to the Gospel. When you get them thinking about thrmselves, its their favorite topic to discuss. Don't judge, just guide, and know when to cut off convos and walk away. It is another reason to go out in numbers for safety, today more than ever.  How to handle situations when you run into looney liberals: ● Recognize Whatever liberal topic is spewed to push demonic worldviews & sinful preferences.  ● Re direct  ○ Well, while I understand a policy change can upset folk, it was lawfully passed, and I trust God is working all things out, for our good. [For on topic like supposed benefits they grifted off of for 20 yrs was being cut (fine tuned to help those who really do need it), a policy change, or are a Trump hater etc]. ○I understand that is your perspective and ...

My spouse is agnostic, how can I share on God?

Q: I don’t think my husband believes in God and idk if I should be offended, mad, or disappointed. [Well, just now he confirmed that “he believes in a god or rather he likes the idea of a god but he’s not sure.”]. A: It is a bit surprising you didn't have these convos while dating. But...   It means he is open, that's a great thing! He hasn't really let others brainwash him into atheism, so he is blank canvas.  It is a great opp to share Biblical truths and the Gospel ! 😊😊 Heres great resources for him. 1. Videos he can watch on God & Christianity (a real help).  2. Understanding the Gospel of Jesus. God bless

Help guiding my kids away from spouse's Buddhist religion

Q: My husband was just at a Buddhist meditation center, out of State, gone for 10 days. Since returning, I feel like he is a stranger to me. There is so much distance. He has also told my 10 year old daughter he has plans to take her and my 6 year old son to a Buddhist temple. He wants them to learn "meditation".  My kids attend Christian church with me. My daughter doesn’t want to go to a temple, but I said if he makes her, she will “meditate” on Jesus and witness to everyone there 😂 ✅️. My 10 year old immediately told him, “I don’t want to go.” He then told her she has to and “it’s good to try something new.”  We have been married 16 years. I’ve been praying for him to come to the Lord for many years. I’m growing weary, but I still have hope. Gal 6:9 🙏 But in light of these recent events I’m feeling especially weary and in need of encouragement. A: Prayers. First, glad thats your daughter's view. You've been leading her to know truth, let's pray she holds to i...
