Agnostic lgbt interaction

While being interviewed, a college guy who "was raised in church, but left", discussed Faith. He had a religious background that was from a church-going Christian family. He's currently agnostic but "figuring it out" right now. 

He had stayed away from church [and such convos with his parents] "for a lot of reasons", [note: he is visually presenting as one with an identity crisis, in lgbt]. He noted part of his reason was "less about a concern with sinning, and more just about not wanting to disappoint family and friends". But that doesnt mesh, as he could talk to his family and pastor about his struggles, sins, thoughts and get guidance. His unconcerned for sin is why he left. He wasnt saved, and loved his sins. He went on to say "after he left the church he realized he didnt care about his sins/sinning" and then tried to justify it by claiming thr Bible says "having doubts are good". He then disingenuously tied that to "recalling sermons about 'if one has doubts about their faith then go research it., to strengthen your relationship with God". But truth is, if he has no relationship then the has no desire to research it. Otherwise he would have. He just wanted to Purdue his sinful passions and lusts and pretend God isnt real, or that a god he created in idolatry was ok with his sins. He notes fir him "it is important to doubt & question". But, hes doing it with a depraved sinful heart that decievessnd leads astray. Hes not seeking answers in Scripture nor by the Pastors shepherding guidance & counsrl. He is going his own way; Judges 21:25, shows this is true: "In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes." God idnt the King or Lord over his life, he thinks hes the god on his own throne, but really it is Satan and his heart deceives him about this, since hes spiritually dead, in his sins. 

The lead told him to seek the Faith himself, and obtain that personal faith. But failed to go further in explaining who God is, and why we need Jesus as Savior. This is a divine encounter, so we need to be faithful; we cant stop short of the Gospel message, otherwise the person will herp going his way, like a blind man headed to the cliff, where only death awaits. He only said "God loves and cares about you." He failed to give him the understanding of our Holy God, our Falleness & the gift of Salvation & transformation Christ offers us. This guy was living not only in an identity crisis, but needed to know "Who God Is", and the rest of the convo would guide him to 'a proper fear of God', and of the urgency to recieve Christ, since tomorrow isnt guaranteed, and after death is only the Judgment. For those who die in their sins there is only eternal punishment awaiting them. 

In response to the above & what else was discussed, I do want to note... a Parents job IS "to train your kids up in the Lord". It's part of godly parenting, even imperfectly... it appears his parents tried to do that. He shoulfnt dismiss that or makd it seem like it was forced on him. God calls all parents to this task. Also, kids always spend entire youth endlessly saying "why this, why that, why why why" ad nauseum. But when they turn 11 (thru 20) 🤔 all of a sudden they dont ask their Parents, Pastor or Sunday School "all the Faith related" questions on their minds 🙃, nor talk to their parents about doubts or thoughts on this & life -so they can help them work thru it, and get a firm foundation. I will say parents should be having daily Bible hour every day as a family, and loads of these discussions should be happening. He didnt want to ask, because he was running from God ("inside") probably since 10 or 11, and physically fled as soon as he was 18. 

While yes, James 1:5-6 encourages believers to seek wisdom from God, stating that those who ask should not doubt, as doubting can hinder one's faith.

Doubt can lead to growth. In Romans 5:3-5, it is stated that suffering (which can include doubt) produces perseverance, character, and hope. This suggests that grappling with doubt can result in a deeper faith.

It doesnt apply to him if hes not saved, cuz much of what Scripture says is to believers; the born again. He cant apply those things to himself, and is why he cant make sense of it. But yet while trying to get out of the convo, if he ever actually thinks about God & Faith he can somewhat be like the father in Mark 9:24 who plead to Jesus for help, saying, "I believe; help my unbelief!" But that's hats only possible if God is drawing him to Himself. 

By encouraging pursuit and clarity in the face of doubt, the Bible highlights that questioning and searching for understanding are crucial to spiritual understanding & growth. Engaging with doubts can lead to a stronger relationship with God, or could lead to a relationship with God if an unsaved actually desires to seek answers. If he does then God is leading him. If not, others will need to minister to him to plant and water seeds. 

The Bible highlights the importance of actively seeking God. In Jeremiah 29:13, it states, "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." This verse emphasizes that a sincere effort to connect with God can lead to a profound relationship. But this again in context is assuring believers that genuine pursuit of God leads to His presence and guidance. But if God is guiding him, leading him towards salvation, it can somewhat apply in the sense of Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.”

Doubt often leads to questions, and asking these questions is a form of engagement with God. In Psalm 73, Asaph wrestles with difficult feelings but ultimately finds clarity and restoration through his honest dialogue with God.

He needs to follow Scriptural truth he learned as a young one. In Isaiah 43:3 God proclaims, "For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One...your Savior." And Isaiah 55:6: "Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near."  

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.” Proverbs 3:5-6. This encourages us to place our faith, our trust, in God's wisdom over our limited perspectives. 

Scripture says if we follow our hearts it will deceive us. So we are called to Trust in Him and He will guide our path. (Jeremiah 17:9, Proverbs 3:5-6). And to "Test all things; hold fast that which good." (1 Thess 5:21). And for the unsaved in the sense of Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.” 

His parents and churches may have failed to fully explain the core foundational truths and along with it his identity as a human, being an image bearer of God, one that was designed to be living out that identity and purpose, not pursuing sinful lifestyles and being led astray by it. And how Jesus restores us to that original design and purpose (as one born again). It is likely the public school he went to taught him evolution, and once he hit puberty he became focused on sex, but with the sex cult (rampant in public schools today) influencing him, it lured him away, and he latched onto that particular perversion. Hopefully hes not crossed the line where God gives him over to it (and dusts his hands of him. Romans 1:24-28). 

Pray for him. "And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John 8:32

This is from a video discussion on a college campus, by a guy professing to be Christian. Im not sure if hes in a cult, a sect, or charismaticism, so I dont recommend his channel. The discussion with the unsaved is the point of this blog post. To educate and give you some understanding, and guide you in evangelistic convos; learning from others experiences and guidance.
