Sharing the Gospel? *

Sharing the Gospel How can we share the Gospel with people who have a worldview different from our own? Two Iranian college students, Arak and Emman were having coffee at a  Donut shop and agreed to discuss their beliefs.  Emman believes “When we die, we die, that’s it” and Arak believes we all have a spirit that lives on after we die, but didnt think we can’t know anything beyond that.   I told them some of the things I know about Iranian spiritual beliefs from previous conversations with Iranian students – about how many view Islam as a colonizing influence over their original Persian culture and Zoroastrian religion.   Sharing what I had learned about their culture did a lot to quickly build up some rapport with them in much the same way that 45 minutes of listening won the trust of a young Buddhist man a few days earlier.    Is this a biblical form of evangelism in much the same way that Paul demonstrated his knowledge of Athenian culture by r...

Need Conversation starters? - Headlines⭐️

Well that whole page deleted 😱😅🙃 UNDER RECONSTRUCTION.... There are all kinds of opportunities we are given by God to share the Gospel, (and boldly at times too). I've noticed in the last 2 or 3 years all kinds of news headlines across varied genres [ including showing images as you use the talking point as an ice breaker ] we can use both to bring up with intentionality or news that others may talk about which we can use to lead to/swing to the Gospel. You can see examples below and use them to say - you just saw in the news xyz and go from there.  =====Examples======= Idiotic things people did in the Bible   When people do dumb things, or talk about dumb things someone did. "You know someone else who did something dumb...? Samson...." [*share & swing to the Gospel] ===== Celebrity Talk music, weather, lightening, Texas, Beatles, John Lennon topics Heres some you can use, any time anywhere. For the Beatles/Paul McCartney:  "Some of the most influe...

God & You: Responsible for your own actions

Atheist: People like him don’t need an imaginary friend to provide excuses for their poor actions. This dude should have it in his head that his actions "are his responsibility" and that some imaginary friend isn’t going to "make it all ok" as if he can ask for forgiveness from it. Christian: That is a incorrect understanding of the situation. If we are all held to being responsible for our own crimes against God; sins, then we are all headed to eternal Hell. But thank God he has made the way for salvation - by His Grace and Mercy.  While [actor name] has joined a false religion, True Christianity explains that we are all sinners who've committed crimes against God and the only means of escape He offered >> is through Jesus. Without him taking our punishment and paying our debt to God... each person who dies in their sin faces Judgment from their Creator in His court and would be damned justly.  Satan is the one deceiving people to think that "the...

Help - Muslim convos always like a brick wall

Image
Q: Dealing with reaching Muslims Question to all of you, but how many of you have had experiences trying to answer muslim's objections and questions? I find that often when they try to object they simply recycle old arguments, many of them which have been around, thought about and answered for almost 2000 years, by both early church fathers and modern day believers. But explaining theology and what the Bible says about those things to them feels like speaking to a brick wall. Another thing they like doing is cherry picking verses from scripture to show "contradictions" or "errors" or to attempt to show Jesus was not divine which is a sign of a lack of knowledge in scripture and just copy-paste arguments.  I definitely don't know all the answers (and am definitely not a Bible know it all), but sometimes it's as simple as reading the passage in its smaller and larger context (or even in some cases just the next verse!). There definitely are times where we...
