Help - Muslim convos always like a brick wall

Q: Dealing with reaching Muslims

Question to all of you, but how many of you have had experiences trying to answer muslim's objections and questions?

I find that often when they try to object they simply recycle old arguments, many of them which have been around, thought about and answered for almost 2000 years, by both early church fathers and modern day believers. But explaining theology and what the Bible says about those things to them feels like speaking to a brick wall.

Another thing they like doing is cherry picking verses from scripture to show "contradictions" or "errors" or to attempt to show Jesus was not divine which is a sign of a lack of knowledge in scripture and just copy-paste arguments.

I definitely don't know all the answers (and am definitely not a Bible know it all), but sometimes it's as simple as reading the passage in its smaller and larger context (or even in some cases just the next verse!). There definitely are times where we must explain more complicated doctrine, and ofc try and search up the answers or ask help from other brothers and sisters.

Now I'd like to ask some more questions:
-Why do you think muslims like to recycle old arguments? (Common ones include: Jesus never said he is God, how can Jesus pray if he is God, how can God (in the flesh) die).
-How would you personally go about answering those questions?
-Has a question ever stumped you, and what do you do to answer those hard questions?

P.S. This doesn't have to be limited to conversations with/answering muslims, but muslims will definitely try and question and talk about specific areas that other groups of non believers don't do as much.

A: I feel you. There are certian obstacles to hurdle with them and only works if theyre open minded and God is moving them. Remember God's word doesnt return void.

They've been taught a bunch of rubbish by one islamic guy a long while back - so they keep regurgitating what he said to them.

The muslim middle eastern immigrants only know about (what they heard about) the catholic religion in middle east since way back, so they have lots of problems such as they think mary had sex with God 🤮🙄. They know nothing of biblical "true Christianity."

They do not actually know the Quran; 🎉 surprise, similarly to Catholics. Few ever even read it. They rely on the Imam to just say a few things to them at the mosque (and the religion is mostly and heavily just rituals).

The below podcast discusses shirk from a Christian worldview, so that will help in the convo, as will understanding [they are actually the idolator]. Taqiyya [basically - the concept that says muslims can lie].

There are ways to reach them and I recommend these resources. You could have the suggested convos and if time doesnt allow... just send the page link or any inner links to them on other questions. If theyre wanting actual answers it will be in there. If they want to examine more send them the main link.

1. See ep 222 on Islam and how to reach them in person. Discusses Shirk.

2. Send them the Full link or individual ones when interacting.
*Tbh you can share nearby via your burner app phone number too or pop it over in a burner evangelism email.

3. Just like Shirk, we can use their teaching of Taqiyya. see end of episode. I think at end of segment 3 into segment 4. Idk the timing cuz I cant get it to show timer for that ep.

Here is info from #2 above on this.
>God doesnt lie. We are not to lie. Lying is a sin. God hates liars. Lying is a 10C. Lying damns to eternal Hell. God is not a deciever. We are not to be decievers. We are to tell the truth, proclaim the truth, and walk in truth if we follow God.

Here are some additional Helps to share

7. World Religions added Jesus, but teach a false Jesus. Jesus was Israeli.

8. The Palestine issue (Oct 7) to be educated about the truth.

Note. Pray in the morning that if God brings a muslim, or anyone, into your path today to plant seeds and share the Gospel, that the Holy Spirit will move you and remind/give you the words to say to speak truth in love with them. Pray after the convo too, that seeds will be watered and lead to Harvest.
