Christian to Catholic Q: Would like some input and prayer about something. One of the member of our church is defecting to Rome. He’s been buried in an echo chamber and is convinced the reformation was wrong & that Protestants don’t have the “full bible”. It’s been a long ongoing attempt to sway him back. He’s planted firm in his “convictions” on the matter. The last we spoke he tried using Hebrews 6 as an argument to refute perseverance of the saints. I have seen more examples of reformed brothers falling away and running to the RCC lately... and would like some guidance.  A: Be aware of the real issue here;  note  on the issue from Pastor MacArthur.  Here's more info on Catholicism (and basically is the same with Orthodox too) that discusses church history. Faithful "front line" evangelism here in America.  Out on a sidewalk I stopped an IT student with some questions about his beliefs. Although it was very windy and cold out, Abhishek, a Hindu from India, very patiently answered my questions.  As a Hindu, Abhishek believes in many different gods and in reincarnation into another living creature in the next life, based on his actions in this. He agreed that this implies belief in a sort of judgment day based on his actions and an ultimate spiritual authority or judge much like the biblical judgment day.  I asked if he would like to hear the Christian perspective on this, and affirmed that for him to understand it doesn't mean that he has to agree with it. Q:  2 JW'S come to my house, and I witness to them about the divinity of Christ.  Pray for them bc they are hard headed. I invited them back to talk again...so that I am more prepared instead of feeling like I am ambushed (by these well trained cult people).   Any topics I should talk about next time? I'm thinking about the Holy Spirit being a Person and not a force to continue the Trinity talk.
