How to engage Catholics when they appear as Christian online

I'll share a conversation I had in a supposed Christian forum online. You have to see forumns, pages, groups and online places in Christian spaces as a mission field and not as Christian spaces. Just like the Church where Christ will seperate those wicked ones who were hidding among us in church, and all those in false churches and cults masqurading as Christian for centuries. We need to use discernment and try to always include a gospel link in our posts so others can see it and go check it out.

In this conversation the person appeared Christian until the end note. They outted themselves. But notice how I guided the convo not really focused on her boss but it was wisely written to her so that by the time she gets to the end challenge she might be led by God to examine her religion. This is how we can lovingly lead people with knowledge and reason towards truth and point them to the gospel & resources.

I added the intro to the answer after I had written the reply. I considered not putting it in the reply because she likely wouldnt connect catholicisms mass murdering of believers and reformers to that point, and likely might have no clue to its history (at all). But I thought 🤔 perhaps in her examination of the link provided she would get to the section on the history of the Bible being printed and points about the reformers ... and maybe weaving that truth into her mind now might click once she gets there, further opening her eyes or memory about that point to connect a dot, and help her to further continue examining her religion.

Reread her post and consider all the things she said that would go out the window as soon as "her Jesus" and her faith are called into question (when exposed and discussed). Idolators and hypocrites are all the same no matter what their religious belief, so the goal is to lead them and through to the Gospel with truth at the core and hope of their surrender to the true God & Savior (thru salvation).

Feel free to share the linked convo online when you encounter catholics who have similar discussions online where dropping that link might be useful with your leading comments.
