Is my Mom going to Hell for not believing in God? How to witness to her

Q: My mom just said shes going to hell becuase she "doest believe in God" and I told her thats where my brother went and she got mad at me and told me to stop texting her. I grew up without knowing of God much, and now i realize why my childhood was like it was. I was saved 7 years ago, and ever since i pray everyday, I believe in God...and i wish my mom was the same. This makes me real sad.

A:
First, Everyone knows God exists, they just suppress the truth in unrighteousness. Also it was unheard of until around Darwins time to think there was no God. Every nation had a belief in God and a religion. Most had multiple gods. It would be insane to not believe in a God or Creator. In fact, a fun fact is, Christians used to be called athiests, because they only believed in 1 God.  You might be able to use that as a talking point with your mom [ask if she's really an atheist or just an agnostic?], and you can go thru the 4 points below too.

Secondly, That's not why people go to Hell.

We can read John 3:16-21, John 16:8, Mark 1:15 and see that mankind is already hellbound and why.

We are all wicked, depraved, evil sinners from conception, as all but Christ have been born through the Adam's line of the human race through their father. So all sin and do what is evil. All go follow their own way.

Judges 21:25 :
"In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes."

If Jesus isn't the King on the throne of their life, then they think they are on the throne, but I reality it is Satan, for theyre trapped in the sin nature, and until the Redeemer rescues and restores them, they're lost in the darkness and hellbound by default.

The Devil and demons believe and tremble. But humans are blinded by the sin nature and Satan. However the Holy Spirit softens hearts, leads them to truth, plants seeds, unblinds and converts people. God uses us to bring the Gospel, to answer questions in patience and love, and share biblical truth. We are partners in Christ, whom the Holy Spirit uses to proclaim the truth.

So we need to do that, and we cant until we are equipped to. I suggest trying again and in the future to plant seeds and try to prayerfully reason with her. Here are some examples guides to witness to her and others. ✨️

I would handle these things in person. The next chance you get, go see her in person. Apologize for how what you said sounded. [She might think you are judging her unfairly]. Explain briefly that you are concerned for her eternal destination because you lost your brother to Hell and don't want your mom to go there, (Luke 16:19-31), cuz after death is no second chance (Heb 9:27). Tell her shes like one unaware in a home fire and it would be evil & not loving of you to sit in the fire truck jamming out to music instead of running in to rescue her. Tell her you love her and just want her to be open to hearing you out about it. Then share the tip above to witness. And let her know she can always ask you questions she has or confusion about something and you'll help find the answer for helping her.

You can just be the light in her life that you can, faithfully, and leave it with God.😊✨️✝️

If someone die in their sins there is only judgment and eternal punishment awaiting, for the sin crimes committed against God. As all sin is against righteousness and God is the Righteous One. Theyre responsible/ accountable to God for themselves, as you are for being a good servant to Christ 🩷

God bless
