Saw a video of a black guy who was looking for something online, and ran into HI's debating Christians or something like that and he went on a watch feast that pigionholed him into HI's folk...cuz they were black. He watched them because of ethnicity not truth. He said 2 videos turned into 30...and he was brainwashed by them, by it. He fell into their trap and the yt algorithm assisted to that end. From then in he lived legslistically doing what he thought the OT Law taught, got circumcised and the whole bit. Traveled far to soak up their teachings and lived in it. Eventually he came out of it years later, sadly after duping many blacks into that cult too. The leaders weren't answering his questions and he was seeing what they said isnt what he read in the Bible.
Further, had a wrong understanding of Christianity and thought in his self-righteous arrogance that his beliefs were superior to them. And had hang ups. Solid church denominations of Christians do not "take one verse and make a doctrine of it" We preach the opposite. We look at the entirety of Scripture both on what it says, the deeper underlying truth, and the principle taught in Scripture on that issue. Those with the Holy Spirit are shown these things from God. Everyone else can't make sense of it, in truth. And as he found out "People can make the Bible say that they want to".
Sure folk can twist something to mean what they think it does, but thats where cults and false religions, and progressives folk go. Why? They're dead, blind and cant see, so they make stuff up that sounds good. Ehich is just more idolatry.
So it isn't surprising that many fall into the snares of the Devil, esp from the black community (increasingly since shortly after 2000, and a lot more since 2015 when internet was accessible in homes in US, and social plstforms like youtube made putting deception out there more easily accessible and consumable for the millions... and put it into high gear during & since Covid era 2020-2024). These folk are looking for identity, when it's already been revealed in Scripture, but they go follow a rabbit trail off the path of truth and into apostacy and idolatry. Making up their own religion, and embrace a counterfeit identity.
If he had examined the Bible & Christianity from reputable places, and not joe blow from the internet, back then, he wouldve seen biblical history more accurately, and avoided getting trapped in a cult/false religion.
Biblically, historically, truthfully we see from Shem, Ham, and Japheth (the three sons of Noah), where all the peoples of earth after the Flood came from/became:
1. **Shem**: from him the Semitic peoples came, which include the Hebrews (Israelites) and other groups in the Middle East.
2. **Ham**: produced the various peoples in Africa and parts of the Near East.
3. **Japheth**: from him came the peoples of Europe and parts of Asia.
In Genesis 9:20-27. After the flood, Noah became drunk and lay uncovered in his tent. Noah awoke and learned what Ham had done, he pronounced a curse on Ham's son. So they (the black race) would from then onwards be cursed. This is not related to "supremacy" nonsense. It's just a biblical fact. Just as the curse in Eden affects men and women today. It's perpetual. And equally true is All are cursed under the Law, as all sin, thus all die. Yet God's grace in Christ, saves some. And due to missionaries from Israel going globally (incl. Christianity in America), black folk can get saved too, wherever they live. Christ is available to all who come to Him. Salvation isnt just for the Jews/ Israel. It was always to be for the world; mankind.
You can see clearly from here, that Israelites and the Africans were from two different ethnic groups. Africans arent Israelites. And vice versa. That's a nonsense story told to Africans in US to make them feel superior.
There's a lot of legalistic cults out there that prey on black folk in US who seek some kind of identity. They look everywhere but in Christ, by whom people are restored to the image bearer we were created to be, as a design by God. Satan loves to segregate and try to twist things to make people think a false identity they cling to (ethnically vs mankind designed) is where they need to focus. Its distraction from the truth. There's no Inferiority in Christ nor in living out our design and purpose as humans.
If you look at OT youll see tons of people prior to Hebrews in Egypt, and they followed God. Egypt was black, and ruled over Hebrews (ethnic) who were a diff ethnicity all together. God led Israel (nation) out of there, away from those pagans who worshipped false gods. Just like Africans worshipped false gods, and still do to this day.
Satan creates false apostates counterfeit to the truth. After Malachi the Jews apostacized over 400 years and were being led by a greatly altered legalistic false religion by the time of Jesus. Jesus constantly corrected their errors, of which most all of them rejected and got angry about being exposed as frauds. Just as cults, apostates groups and false religions today get angry when truth is revealed.
The entire OT was meant to show us how Holy God is, how far man has fallen from that [due to Adams sin, which we all inherit], and our need for the Savior, who was promised in Eden and progressively told of in shadows. In the NT he & this mystery of the Messiah revealed and fulfilled in Christ Jesus the God-Man. The OT was pointing to what holiness looks like, and the Jews were to be living it out, and the light shining in the world but they failed to do so, and ended in legalism. Far from God's intention.
In Christ the spiritually dead are given spiritual life, they're born again, they're transformed intona new creation by God, at the moment of their salvation. The inner man is alive, and the Holy Spirit lives in them. They have Christ's righteousness covering them and thus altogether have the new righteous nature. They live righteousness and pursue it to become more Christlike, and hate sun. They hate what they used to love in the sin nature, as blind dead men. Now alive in Christ, they seek to find and conquer sin in their lives, to become more like Christ in pursuit of a holy life, while serving God. They do this naturally - by the new nature. It isnt something that's legalistic or outward as false religions and cults do.
The Hebrew Israelite snd Hebrews Roots movements are cults that seek to decieve black folk and keep them focused on skin not sin. Not Christ, but idolatry. Not love, but on hate and segregation. All Christians are to be together, as we see in Scripture of folk in Heaven from all nations. Living in a multi ethnic nation we Christians are to be united in Christ, worshipping together in blended churches, showing the world that as humans we are all brethren. We are Ine in Christ. And we live in live, not focusing on the past stuff that knots us up, not living in bitterness nor racism towards others, but living new and free in Christ, and loving one another.
Cults and decievers are everywhere online and folk who are unsaved get sucked in snd lured into the Satanic system built on carefully crafted lies, and segregated into various false religions and cults. It traps many. I pray more eyes are opened. And folk get genuinely saved and live free and new in Christ.
There's far too much deception online today and folk can easily be led atray from biblical truth cuz it sounds plausible. Fortunately when I run into others in the black community online and they ask about this Black Hebrew Israelites group, I am able to steer them away from it, and into Truth.
Pray more eyes will be opened and folk leave that cult for historically & biblically true Christianity.
Ps. One of his biggest questions was why are there so many denominations in Christianity, and why so many sects within black Hebrew communities [the cult ones]. The answer in a nutshell is, for true Christianity, biblical Christianity cuz of the Reformation. This explains it in more detail, I dont need to go into that here. That info gives clear explanation and will enlighten those who know nothing about Church history, (or had not been told the truth about church history).
I will say we are united in the one Gospel message of truth, by the Essentials, that's why we have unity together. On non essential matters then, we can differ, but those issues are usually all cleared up in time as they mature in the Faith and deep dive into the Word. So we can have differences, as long as we hold to what Scripture says makes one a Christian. Likewise that makes a church Christian. Those who fail that litmus test, are outside true Christianity.
