Sharing Christ with a dying buddhist parent

Sharing Christ with my dying Buddhist father

Can you recommend a good way to introduce the Bible (i.e. a good Bible study) to someone who doesn't know God or Jesus?

I want to talk to my dad about faith but I have no idea how to go about it. He's in his 70s, not in good health (and nearly died last week). I don't live in the same state as him and planned on visiting him next week. We pray for him nightly to seek closeness with the Lord, but he has literally never heard the gospel as he was raised Buddhist. I've used a particular Bible studies and love it, but I don't want to overwhelm my dad...since he really doesn't seem to believe in God.

We have come into our faith (myself and young son) in Christ over the last 2 years. Just wondering if anyone has been in this situation and how you approached it. I don't necessarily plan to fully convert him, I just want him to hear the Gospels so he won't leave this earth without knowing what Christ did for all of us.

*For context, my dad and I never talk about deep things ever and I struggle so bad with finding courage to broach the subject with him.

A: It is great that while so young in the Faith you want to share Christ, and quickly with your Father. May the Holy Spirit guide you.

Here are some ideas:
1. Share this with him, "Why Christianity?" Article. You can read or let him.

And THIS if hes able to see and hear... (show this video)  and ask if "hes ever understood the Gospel that clearly", and then ask "if he wants Christ as His Savior"?. If so, let him "pray to YHWH in Jesus name for the forgiveness of his sins as he trusts Christ to save him". Then ask if you can pray over him. Also encourage him to Tell a nurse he just became Christian! As a easy way to give testimony of his Faith. If you know a nurse who is Christisn, ask her to come over to help celebrate his love for Christ.

* these are short. So if he's not well and has very short attention span, and alertness, and hospitalized... these two will be best.

2. This has Buddhist witnessing info, but not sure theres time to go through it. Gleen what you can in it for conversations he might bring up.

The goal and prayer is to come to Christ, as eternal Hell for those who die in their sins is "worse" for those who heard and rejected the Gospel. Be faithful to present it.

3. If hes able to watch one hour videos, or break into 30 minute sessions, these will help about God, Jesus and Christianity. Try to complete one video a day, and ask if he has questions. If he's alert, seems fine, snd sble to watch these all in a day or two, shoot for it, cuz he might not have much time. It can all do 99% of the work for you.

Probably watch these *after* reading Why Christianity, after those videos then show the Gospel video, and use the Evangelism resources after that if needed. His other hang ups can be dealt with after salvation. Belief can come with "believing based on reasonsble evidence". We all keep getting our questions answered after salvation, but if we die before then, at least we are right with God, and once in eternity... we'll know it all. Make sure he understands that.
And, If he gets saved, let him know if you'll all meet again in Heaven. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜‡✝️✨️

If he comes to Christ, and his hearing is good, you can give him headphones and a mp3 device to play the Bible (the Gospels), maybe download it to a tablet device; load a audio Bible app (to the Gospels)... and show him how to play it for when you are not there. And power cord usage. It would be great for him to get through all 4 before he passes over to meet his Savior.

And if you know a solid church in the area, if they have outreach ministries, mens group or decons or chaplain ask if they could go meet him, to rejoice in his salvation, help answer his questions, fellowship, and help read the Gospels to him, or help ensure his devices are charged and he knows how to use them. You can find a church here. Make sure he is willing to have visitors and once you get back home, call some and see if they'd bless an elderly dying man who just got saved, with these needs. I'm sure they'd be glad to serve him!

"Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents." Luke 15:10

*If he doesnt come to Christ while you are there, he heard the Gospel, might think in it, and God might bring him to repentance before he dies. So have hope and keep praying. Then leave it with God once he passes. ๐Ÿ™

God bless
