Church & Evangelism Questions

Q: What does the church or even just the body of Christ get wrong about evangelism? God's word says that He does the drawing. As followers, where does that leave us? 🤔👀💯


A: God draws and saves, yes. But we have a role. Otherwise why did He leave us here & commisdion us to it. 

1.Most churches today fail this task because either they're a false church, and have false teaching, or they dont know their discipleship needs to include equipping in evangelism to train up soldiers of the Lord to go into the world, engage in spiritual battle and proclaim the Gospel in love. 

They focus on other things or made it all in house. A failure of godly parents to train up at home, and not rely on the church. Nor expect bringing unsaved folk into the place of the Congregation of believers where we worship the true & living God. Outsiders have no place there, unless theyre in the believers family. Evangelism is to take place outside the church, in our daily goings about , and when they respond to the Gospel & get saved, thennn we bring them into the church, baptize and disciple, to send them out to do the same. 

2. Obeying the Commission to "Go and proclaim the Gospel". 

It does 3 things:
*Shows us faithful & obedient to God.
*Leads to others salvation. (A)
*Heaps coals on the heads of those who dont obey the Gospel.(B)

What if someone rejects a tract?

Q: What should my response be when someone out right rejects a Gospel tract?   Many that have say “If this about God or Jesus, I don’t want it.” A: If you're interested in having conversations, that's a great opening! THEM: Is that about Jesus? I don't want it!  YOU: Actually, it is. I'll save it for the next person, but I'm curious, why don't you want something to help you think about the importance of Jesus?  Listen to them and that may open the door for you to share the Gospel. If they refuse to open up though, wish them well and move on. Do try to probe. It may open doors to talk. Have ready some answers ready to top 5 expected rejection reasons the person has about religion or Christianity, or Jesus, and you might be able to chat & swing to the Gospel.
